Change at the top of TroGroup: On 1 October, Bernd Badurek will take over as new CEO
Norbert Schrüfer (63) will retire as CEO of TroGroup and continue to accompany the Laser Systems Division Trotec as COO. Bernd Badurek (48), currently CEO of the Sinter Division at Miba AG, will take over as CEO of TroGroup on 1 October.
Wels, 9 May 2023. Bernd Badurek has a long-standing career in the international industrial environment. At the beginning of his professional life, he held top positions in marketing and sales at Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen and Mondi. Since 2007, he has held various management positions at Miba AG in Laakirchen, including several years as head of the Asia Pacific Business Unit at the Suzhou site in China and the BRIC and France/Italy Business Units. From 2014 to 2020, he was Managing Director and CSO of Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Program Management before being appointed CEO of the Miba Sinter Division in 2020. Badurek, who was born in Amstetten, will contribute his extensive expertise and international experience to the further development of TroGroup in the future.

Schrüfer has been performing the role of Trotec’s COO in a dual capacity since November 2022, and will retire from the TroGroup management on 31 December 2023.
Technology-oriented family business with three strong pillars
Bernd Badurek will take over responsibility for the three TroGroup divisions. At the beginning of the year, in addition to Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (laser systems), a new division for laser sources was formed with Iradion, which is set to become the Group’s strong third pillar. In the business year 2021, TroGroup achieved a turnover of 289 million EUR with around 1,970 employees. In its further development, the company will position itself even more strongly as a technology-oriented, agile family business and prove itself on the market. The figures for the 2022 financial year will be published shortly.
The TroGroup
The group of companies known as TroGroup GmbH operates as leading global stamp business under the Trodat brand name, as leading global laser business under the brand name Trotec, and as leading global high-tech laser sources under the brand name Iradion. Trodat is the world’s largest stamp manufacturer, Trotec is the global market leader in laser plotters for engraving, cutting and marking, and Iradion is the world market leader for ceramic C02 laser sources.
