Creativity, fun and adventure at the Tro Kids Club - TroGroup offers a varied holiday programme

Anything but boring. The summer holidays often present working parents with major challenges. In order to provide its employees with the best possible relief during this time, the TroGroup has organised a two-week holiday programme this summer. From 19 to 30 August 2024, over 20 children aged 3 to 12 were looked after at the ‘Tro Kids Club’.
TroGroup acquires Luxinar – a leading manufacturer of laser sources in the UK

TroGroup, a globally operating family-owned company based in Austria, announces the acquisition of Luxinar Ltd., a leading manufacturer of laser sources based in Hull, United Kingdom, with approximately 200 employees. With this acquisition, TroGroup further expands its technological leadership in the field of laser sources within its newest division, Iradion Laser.

Change at the top of TroGroup: On 1 October, Bernd Badurek will take over as new CEO

Norbert Schrüfer (63) will retire as CEO of TroGroup and continue to accompany the Laser Systems Division Trotec as COO. Bernd Badurek (48), currently CEO of the Sinter Division at Miba AG, will take over as CEO of TroGroup on 1 October.
TroGroup has become the target of a cyber attack

TroGroup, based in Wels, has become the target of a cyber attack. Emergency operations were activated immediately after the incident became known and it was possible to ensure continued service and to avoid any disadvantages for our customers and suppliers in the best possible way.
The TroGroup is establishing a new business unit for laser sources. Andreas Penz, previously CEO of Trotec, will become CEO of the Laser Sources Group on 1st January 2023. Peter Kratky, previously CSO of Trotec, will take over as CEO of Trotec.

In doing so, the TroGroup is setting the organisational course for further growth. In addition to the two successful companies Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (lasers), a separate business unit for laser sources is being established with the Laser Sources Group.

Over the past 25 years, Trotec, a member of TroGroup, has become world market leader in laser machines for cutting, marking and engraving. At the end of September, the company invited employees and their families to an open day in Marchtrenk. The presentation of the new employer image also marked the occasion.
Trodat opens Walter Just Technical Centre in Wels

After a construction period of only 10.5 months, the new Walter Just Technical Centre opens at Trodat’s headquarters in Wels today. The globally active group of companies is also celebrating the 110th anniversary of its founding in 1912 with a party for the employees and their families.
Trodat takes over Consolidated Marking and expands market leadership in USA

As of 20 July 2022, Trodat, the Austrian stamp manufacturer owned by Wels-based TroGroup, takes over Consolidated Marking, a division of Navitor, Inc., under the umbrella of the Taylor Group. Consolidated Marking is the second largest distributor of stamp components in the USA and Canada after Trodat. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
TroGroup continues growth course and acquires German laser source manufacturer InnoLas Photonics

At the beginning of July 2022, TroGroup took over the German specialist firm for industrial laser sources, InnoLas Photonics, which is based in Krailling. The acquisition will enable TroGroup to establish the Laser Sources Group as a distinct business field alongside Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (lasers). All 24 InnoLas Photonics employees are being retained. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
